In preparation for our opening and inspired by the thousands of manhole covers in New Orleans that still bear the historic NOPSI name, we are seeking nostalgic items related to the history of New Orleans Public Service Inc., the city’s former utility and transportation provider. To narrate the powerful and historic NOPSI story, we are creating a museum-style collection to share with future guests and visitors and are asking the community to donate any items that would honor NOPSI’s history.
All types of memorabilia, including photographs, posters, signs, books, recipes, tickets, coins, payment books and more, will be gratefully accepted. To sweeten the deal, each donated item enters the provider into a drawing to win a two-night stay for two in the rooftop Presidential Suite along with spa treatments, dinner at Public Service and breakfast in the Lobby Café.
